Nucleariid adalah kelompok amoeba[1] dengan pseudopodia filosa, diketahui sebagian besar dari tanah dan air tawar. Mereka dibedakan dari vampyrellid yang tampak mirip terutama dengan memiliki mitokondria dengan krista discoid.

Nucleariid adalah opisthokonta,[2] kelompok yang mencakup hewan, fungi dan beberapa kelompok kecil. Beberapa studi menempatkan nucleariid sebagai kelompok saudari fungi.[3][4]
Karakteristik
Nucleariid umumnya kecil, ukurannya sampai dengan 50 μm.
- Nuclearia[2] dan Micronuclearia.
- Genera lain, Rabdiophrys, Pinaciophora, dan Pompholyxophrys, adalah bentuk air tawar dengan sisik atau duri silika berongga. Mereka sebelumnya termasuk dalam heliozoa sebagai Rotosphaerida.
Berdasarkan makalah tahun 2009, Fonticula, sebuah jamur lendir seluler, adalah opisthokonta dan lebih berkerabat dekat dengan Nuclearia daripada dengan fungi.[5]
