Jean Vanier, CC GOQ (10 September 1928 – 7 Mei 2019)[1] adalah seorang filsuf, teolog dan humanitarian Katolik Kanada. Pada 1964, ia mendirikan L'Arche, sebuah federasi komunitas internasional yang tersebar di lebih dari 35 negara, untuk orang-orang dengan disabilitas pengembangan dan orang-orang yang membantu mereka.[2] Kemudian pada 1971, ia menjadi salah satu pendiri Faith and Light, dengan Marie-Hélène Mathieu, yang juga berkarya bagi orang-orang dengan disabilitas pengembangan, keluarga dan teman-teman mereka di lebih dari 80 negara. Ia menjalani hidup sebagai anggota komunitas L'Arche asli di Trosly-Breuil, Prancis.
Sepanjang tahun, ia telah mengarang 30 buku tentang agama, disabilitas, normalitas, kesuksesan dan toleransi.[3] Ia meraih Companion of the Order of Canada (1986),[4] Grand Officer of the National Order of Quebec, Legiun Kehormatan (2003) dari Prancis, Community of Christ International Peace Award (2003), Pacem in Terris Peace and Freedom Award (2013) dan Penghargaan Templeton (2015).
