Is This the World We Created...? (Türkçesi: Yarattığımız dünya bu mu?), İngiliz rock grubu Queen'in 1984 yılında on birinci stüdyo albümleri The Works'te yayınlanan şarkısıdır.

Şarkı, 1984'ten 1986'ya kadar her Queen konserinde çalındı. 1985 Live Aid'de finalin bir parçasıydı. Şarkı, The Works'teki en kısa ama en ünlü şarkılardan biridir.^[1]^[2]

Genel bakış

Is This the World We Created...?, Freddie Mercury ve Brian May tarafından Afrika'daki yoksulluk haberlerini izledikten sonra Münih'te yazıldı. Şarkı sözlerinin çoğunu Mercury yazdı, May akorları yazdı ve lirik katkılarda bulundu.

Şarkı bir Ovation ile kaydedildi, ancak canlı performanslarda May baterist Roger Taylor'ın Gibson Chet Atkins CE naylon telli gitarını çaldı. Şarkının kayıt oturumlarında piyano da vardı, ancak son mix'te dahil edilmedi. Başlangıçta, bir Mercury bestesi olan There Must Be More to Life Than This albümünün son parçası olacaktı. Şarkı B minör^[3] anahtarında yazılmıştır, ancak kayıt yarım ton daha düşüktür.

Şarkı Live Aid'de son bölümde ek enstrümanlar ve düzenlemelerle birlikte seslendirildi; ses hattında da değişiklikler vardı. Ayrıca Live Aid'den bir ay önce, "Is This the World We Created...?" şarkısı ile Queen Greenpeace - The Album adlı, çok sanatçıdan oluşan bir derlemeye katkıda bulundu.
