The Living Desert (sh. Živa pustinja) je američki dokumentarni film snimljen 1953. u režiji Jamesa Algara i produkciji Walta Disneya. U njemu je prikazana flora i fauna na Jugozapadu SAD, odnosno u okolici Tucsona u Arizoni. The Living Desert predstavlja prvo cjelovečernje ostvarenje u ciklusu prirodoslovnih dokumentaraca True-Life Adventures, ali i prvi film koga je distribuirao kroz vlastitu kompaniju Buena Vista Distribution, potaknut nedostatkom razumijevanja hollywoodskog studija RKO Pictures za njegov projekt. The Living Desert je doživio veliki uspjeh, te je sljedeće godine nagrađen Oscarom za najbolji dokumentarni film, kao i na Kanskom i Berlinskom festivalu.
