Pendudukan Jepang di Filipina terjadi antara 1942 dan 1945, ketika Kekaisaran Jepang menduduki Persemakmuran Filipina pada masa Perang Dunia II.

Invasi ke Filipina dimulai pada 8 Desember 1941, sepuluh jam setelah serangan Pearl Harbor.

Jepang menduduki Filipina selama tiga tahun, sampai kapitulasi Jepang.

Pada Desember 1944, pulau Leyte dan Mindoro dibersihkan dari para prajurit Jepang.

Antara 500,000 dan 1,000,000 orang Filipina wafat pada masa pendudukan.

Latar belakang

Jepang melancarkan sebuah serangan di Filipina pada 8 Desember 1941, tepat sepuluh jam setelah serangan Pearl Harbor.[1]
