Michael Latham Powell (30 September 1905 – 19 Februari 1990) adalah seorang sutradara Inggris, yang dikenal karena bermitra dengan Emeric Pressburger. Melalui perusahaan produksi mereka "The Archers", mereka sama-sama menulis, memproduksi dan menyutradarai serangkaian film Inggris klasik, utamanya 49th Parallel (1941), The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943), A Matter of Life and Death (1946, juga disebut Stairway to Heaven), Black Narcissus (1947), The Red Shoes (1948), dan The Tales of Hoffmann (1951). Film tahun 1960 kontroversial buatannya Peeping Tom, meskipun sekarang masih dianggap klasik, merupakan film pertama sepanjang kariernya yang merilisannya menyebabkan kerusakan serius.[1][2]
Beberapa pembuat film seperti Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola dan George A. Romero menyebut Powell sebagai pengaruhnya.[3] Pada 1981, ia meraih BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award bersama dengan putranya Pressburger, pengahrgaan tertinggi dari British Film Academy yang diberikan kepada seorang pembuat film.
