Kongregasi Sang Penebus Mahakudus (bahasa Latin: Congregatio Sanctissimi Redemptoris – C.Ss.R)^[1] adalah sebuah kongregasi misionaris dalam Gereja Katolik yang didirikan oleh Santo Alphonsus Ligouri di Scala, dekat Amalfi, Italia, untuk tujuan bagi orang-orang yang bekerja di antara orang-orang di negara yang diabaikan di lingkungan Napoli.

Anggota kongregasi, imam Katolik, dan biarawan yang dikonsekrasi, dikenal sebagai Redemptoris, yang diasosiasikan dengan gambar Bunda Maria Penolong Abadi dan secara global berkarya di lebih dari 77 negara di seluruh dunia.

Pendirian dan pengembangan

Alfonsus Liguori sangat tersentuh oleh penderitaan orang miskin yang tinggal di Napoli dan daerah sekitarnya, sehingga ia mendirikan komunitas dengan tujuan memberikan santapan rohani. Di antara teman-temannya adalah Gerard Majella. Pada 1748, Alfonsus memohon ke Paus Benediktus XIV, untuk memungkinkannya untuk membangun kongregasi untuk melayani orang miskin di daerah sekitar Napoli.^[2] Benediktus menyetujuinya dan kongregasi didirikan pada tahun 1749.
