Enzim pemutus rantai cabang kolesterol

Enzim pembelah rantai cabang kolesterol (bahasa Inggris: Cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme) atau yang lebih dikenal sebagai P450scc, dimana "scc" adalah akronim dari side-chain cleavage (pembelah rantai cabang). P450scc adalah sebuah enzim mitokondrial yang berfungsi untuk mengubah kolesterol menjadi pregnenolon. Ini adalah reaksi pertama dalam proses steroidogenesis pada seluruh jaringan mamalia yang mengkhususkan diri dalam produksi berbagai hormon steroid.[1]
