Charles Evans Hughes, Sr. (11 April 1862 – 27 Agustus 1948) adalah seorang negarawan, pengacara, dan politisi Republik Amerika dari New York. Ia menjabat sebagai Gubernur New York ke-36 (1907–1910), Dewan Tertinggi Ikatan Keadilan Amerika Serikat (1910–1916), Sekretaris Negara Amerika Serikat (1921–1925), seorang hakim pada Dewan Keadilan Internasional (1928–1930), dan Ketua Keadilan Amerika Serikat ke-11 (1930–1941). Ia adalah kandidat Republik dalam pemilihan umum presiden AS 1916, kalah dengan Woodrow Wilson.
