Menurut bapa gereja Origen, Celsus (/ˈsɛlsəs/; Yunani: Κέλσος) adalah seorang filsuf Yunani abad ke-2 dan penentang gereja perdana.^[1] Ia dikenal karena karya sastranya, The True Word (juga disebut Account, Doctrine atau Discourse; Yunani: Λόγος Ἀληθής),^[1] yang secara khsuus mencantumkan kutipan Origen dari Contra Celsum. Karya tersebut yang berasal dari kira-kira tahun 177^[2] merupakan serangan komprehensif paling awal yang diketahui terhadap Kekristenan.
