Ayn Rand (2 Februari 1905 – 6 Maret 1982) merupakan seorang novelis dan filsuf berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat yang dilahirkan di Rusia. Dia menjadi yang terkenal saat menuliskan novel-novel terkenal seperti We the Living, The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged dan Anthem. Dia dilahirkan di St. Petersburg, Rusia. Pada tahun 1974 dia sering kali masuk rumah sakit. Pada 6 Maret 1982 dia meninggal dunia di New York karena menderita serangan jantung.
