James Kottak

James Kottak vuonna 2014.

James Kottak (26. joulukuuta 1962 – 9. tammikuuta 2024 Louisville, Kentucky) oli yhdysvaltalainen rumpali. Hänet tunnettiin Scorpions-yhtyeen entisenä jäsenenä. Kottak jätti Scorpionsin lopullisesti syksyllä 2016.[1]

Toisin kuin Rudolf Schenker, Klaus Meine ja Matthias Jabs, James Kottak oli kotoisin Saksan Hannoverin sijaan Yhdysvalloista, Kentuckyn Louisvillesta. Hän liittyi Scorpionsiin soittamaan rumpuja vuonna 1996 Herman Rarebellin pitkäaikaisen Scorpions-uran jälkeen. Aikaisemmin mies oli vaikuttanut muun muassa Kingdom Come-, Krunk-, Wild Horses- ja Warrant-nimisissä yhtyeissä. Kottak oli naimisissa ja hänellä oli kolme lasta.[2]

Kottak oli naimisissa Athena Leen kanssa vuosina 1996–2010. Athena Lee on Mötley Crüen rumpalin Tommy Leen sisko.[1]
