Popowo [pɔˈpɔvɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Tłuchowo, within Lipno County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Tłuchowo, 24 km (15 mi) south-east of Lipno, and 65 km (40 mi) south-east of Toruń.

Lech Wałęsa, former president of Poland, was born here.[2][3]
