The Great Mosque of Ramla (Hebrew: המסגד הגדול ברמלה) is a mosque in Ramla, Central District, Israel.
History
The mosque was originally constructed as a church in 12th century. During the Mamluk Sultanate rule, the church was transformed into a mosque in 1266. A mihrab and minaret were added to the structure.[1]
Architecture
The mosque consists of three parallel halls, a nave and two transepts.[1]
Transportation
The mosque is accessible within walking distance south of Ramla Station of Israel Railways.
